Enchanted Children's Festival 2019

This year Enchanted Children's Festival is even more amazing and action packed. We have two stages, the Enchanted Stage, which will host performances and the Forest Stage, with interactive workshops. 


Throughout the day there will be workshops offering everything from knitting to comedy stunt fighting!

Play with No Time to Waste

Meet Gusita, the giant turtle! She is a 5 meter wide metal sculpture made from recycled motorbike tyres, metal and reused paints. Come help rescue Gusita from the sea of plastic, make a plastic bag jellyfish that will then feature in the show, create tyre furniture and take part in our eco relay games.

Games with My Time Active

Fun games for the whole family, including, inflatable snag golf, tug of war, ball drills and skills, parachute play and relay races. You can even find out how to make healthy choices with their nutrition advice pop-up.

Build a life-size boat sculpture with artist, Jennyboatdraws. Have fun painting and building together with others to  make a boat sculpture from recycled materials.

Upcycle Pots for London in Bloom

Use your creativity and imagination to upcycle and prettify some plant pots to be planted and displayed on Orpington High Street to participate in the Mayor of London's London in Bloom campaign for the summer. Enchanted Children's Festival in collaboration with Coolings and Orpington 1st.

Make a Wish

Skills Academy present mad skills with freestyle choreographed footballers from Mike Delaney's team.

1.10 - 1.40pm Showtunes with Anna & Baker

Anna and Baker first met at drama school where they became best friends through their love of singing and having fun. They'll be singing showtunes and popular songs that the whole family can enjoy. 

1.55 - 2.20pm Artstrain Open mic

Performances from young people involved in ArtsTrain, a unique and pioneering creative music programme managed by a leading social enterprise Mytime Active.

2.30-3.15pm ROKKY & B

These two sisters have been singing together since they can remember. Join them at the festival where they’ll be playing some pop classics among other sweet tunes, so come and sing along with them. Rokky has just released her latest single, deux. Find her on Facebook. 

3.30-3.50pm CASPA

Local Autism charity x actress and theatre practitioner Nicky Hallet have provided theatre workshops for young people with autism in the lead up to the festival. They will perform a world premiere of their very own theatre piece on the Enchanted stage! Find out more about CASPA

4-4.25pm Litty Lightz

In between writing and performing, this talented grime artist from Lewisham featured in a Nike campaign, MTV and Cbeebies, all before he even turned 14! Whether he's rhyming at a 100 miles an hour, campaigning for safer streets, or just looking fresh, Litty Lightz is certainly one to watch. Follow Litty Lightz on Twitter.

4.30-5.15pm Brown Sugar

BrownSugar are a 4 piece Soul/RnB band from South East London, who have been writing and performing together for 4 years. They are supporting Olly Murs at the 02 Arena in May 2019, and are headlining their own show in Bermondsey, South London in June 2019. A debut EP is on the way! Follow Brown Sugar on facebook.

5.30-6pm Croydon Steel Orchestra

Playing us out is the fantastic Croydon Steel Orchestra! They are a youth and community steel band based in the London  Borough of Croydon. The orchestra encourages the tuition of steel band  in schools, enabling as many children as possible the opportunity to  learn the art of pan. Go to their website for more information.
